Default Should I replace my Rocker Arms

I have a 2002 FireHawk with 4000 miles on it. I am doing Heads/Cam, Pushrods,TB, Pulleys, Headers. Should I also be replacing my rocker arms?

There is no need, but it wouldn't hurt.

Mine has 40K and I'm contemplating the same dilema.
But from reading around and finding multiple (Bearing spitting issues), I guess I'll have no choice.
Non adjustable Harland Sharps would be my choice, but will they fit my heads with no issues? No one can answer that yet.

Really matters on the lift of the Cam and the spring tension.Your builder should be able to tell you.

nope........until you need adjustable rockers (or you go with a higher ratio for more lift) you shouldn't waste the money. I had 50K on my stockers (now have shaft mount for solid roller plans), a friend has 120K on his, and another friend has some 75K on his. None of us have ever had the slightest bit of trouble with them.

replace them...too many people here have had them fail...putting needle bearing and shrapnel all through the motor...they are the LS1 weak link..

people above are just lucky...of course if you just putz around then dont worry about it.

They will fit the 01 heads no problem The only heads I have seen any fittment issues with are the 98 valve covers.

I have the Harland Sharp rockers in stock and ready to ship.

Thanks Nate

Ok, guys all I have to say, is if your gonna be in the engine, replace the rockers, because my 99 SS has 60,000 miles on it, and it is losing needle bearings, and it is a big headache, not to mention a big problem. Ive been doing lots of research and it seems to me that this is an extremely common problem around 60,000 - 80,000 miles. Id say to do it before u have to and avoid the headache.

I think that problem was fixed in '03 - those with knowledge, please chime in.

TSP has them for $320 and Nate said he would match that price.
