Leroy is right at 3,000 lbs if I remember correctly
and the cams are not specific to his car. He just has such a huge following and TSP is his main advertiser so they use his name on a line of cams.

So why would you want a Cam Specd out for a 2,555 lb Car ???
I can see a Custom Grind doing better than that.
Atleast a Custom Grind Cam is designed for Your Car, Engine Combo, Weight, etc.
Just because that cam pulls hard in a 2,555 lb stripped down Car don't mean it will pull as hard in a full weight street car weighing at 3,300 lbs and up. I'm just saying. Post says "Leroy" Cam so this is why I refered to the weight difference.
You guys are over analyzing this. This is for a street car. 2 or 3 horsepower difference is not going to matter. Do you know what off the shelf cams are? Those are cams that work really well in a broad range of applications. That's how companies decide which cams become shelf cams and which ones don't. 99% of shelf cams with similar durations also have very similar valve events - which means they have similar LSA, and advance. The reason they're not identical is because the combo each company developed the cam on is a little bit different - one company may use stock heads, another has custom ported from X, another used custom ported from Y. But unless you're racing in a spec class where hundredths of a second count, you're never going to notice the difference between cam A and cam B.

If you want to see a real difference, buy your cam and heads as a combo - buy the cam that was developed for a specific set of heads. Then you'll see a 15 or 20 hp improvement. Otherwise it's a crap shoot.

I googled how much does Leroy weigh and it said 2555 lbs.
I even watched a Video where they weighed Leroy.
Maybe it weighs more now Idk.

Its a marketing scheme if You ask me.
Slap Leroys name and bald eagle on it and sell them like Hotcakes. The more views Cleetus gets on Youtube the more attention the bald eagle cams get and of course that means them making alot of money together. Hello?

Your giving the guy waaaaay to much credit, must be jealousy to have that much disapproval of someone’s success.
Watched the video again after the turbos and cage he’s closer to 2800 still a lightweight for sure.
But I’ll give anyone credit for ripping gears nto the 8s, and he went 7s!

I bet it runs pretty good personally. Rember when a 228r was the go to cam? Just cause it's endorsed/ titled/ branded as a name that some people do/or/do not like. Let's see what it can bring to the table. As in curve with given combination.... Please post Dyno sheet when tuned.

I will post what the car makes on the dyno when i get it tuned. Im still waiting on them to ship the cam and i live in upstate new york so going to be a couple weeks. The reason i went with this cam is NOT because of leroy but because thats what texas speed recommended to me.

Going fast typically means you blow stuff up from time to time....if running 7's in a stick LS car was so easy everyone would do it....but there are 2 of them and Leroy is the fastest.
