(Leroy corvette) bald eagle cam?
Does anyone have the bald eagle cam in a ls1? How do u like it? This is going in a 2000 trans am, t56, ls6 intake, lt headers, borla back. This is first time putting a cam in a car so i dont know what to expect out of it. Is there a better cam for my set up. Thanks

Is there a Leroy specific cam or one of the Bald Eagles in general? We can plug it in the cam timer and compare.

I'm sorry that you can't stand seeing other people having fun and laughing.
@OP, I'm assuming you're talking about the Bald Eagle cam for naturally aspirated LS1/2/6s. For some reason they don't want to release the full specs, but it is a 227/234 cam, so it should be pretty decent. My cam is 232/234 112 LSA and the street-ability is great and it makes great power. Any off the shelf cam from a reputable company like TSP, BTR, Tick Performance etc. that is in a similar range would be a good choice for a cam only or H/C/I street car.

What kind of heads are you going to be running and what are you okay with as far as driving characteristics go? Summit does have some nice Cams available now. Midrange cams are really the best all around. 228/232 or 228/228 or 232/234
233/239 durations will be a good hard pulling cam.
Now the Bigger Aggressive Cams
Like Magic Stick 3 or 4
Or a Ws6 Store Trex Cam would be a Very Hard Runner as well, but not be as good down low as the Midrange Cams do. Both Cams wouldnt be bad to drive if the Tune is done well. The bigger cams will dyno a higher # but the Midrange cam will obviously drive better.

The tsp lobes are some of the quietest ive heard. We sell quite a few of the bald eagle cams. They make great numbers.
Recently had a friend tune one in an 03 c5 ls1 that put a length on a 402 4th gen, so thats not too shabby.
Our high lift asa is similar also but uses completely different lobes....i do expect ours to squeak out just a little more hp and tq though.
They do have 5 bald eagle cams

Twin turbo 400+ ci stroker

I did what everyone says to do when u want a cam and that is, ask the guys that knows. I messaged texas speed and told them what mods i have on my car and this is the cam they told me to go with. So i guess i will have to put it in and see how it works. If its not what i want i will change it.

I have the WS6Store High Lift ASA Cam also with T56 and similar supporting mods. Very similar cam just with different lobes. I think you will like yours. Especially if it's a daily driver. Mine has tons of midrange power and a pretty nasty idle. It was easily tuned. I can cruise low speeds in 6th gear, and even chug it up a hill with no bucking or surging.
Just like you said, if you dont like it, learn from it and try a new bump stick! It's all part of the fun.

I apologize if I ruffled anyone's "feathers"
I was just trying to tell the man that there is a whole lot more Camshafts to choose from besides the Bald Eagle Cam. I hope Your Engine Runs good with what ever choice you make.
