We do have the ls3 4.065 piston in our complete rebuild kit just not on the site.
It is slightly more expensive and does push the kit up to $730 instead of $699 but basically minimal difference there. They use a different steel napier ring set which ups the overall cost.

I believe i called you earlier and left a message about this? If not it was another customer asking same thing lol

Thanks WS6STORE! The machine shop called me right after you guys did and confirmed that the bore would be finished at 4.065"! I'll be picking up the block and rods this afternoon so I'll need to order those flat-top LS3 pistons from you really soon!

I got this rusty beauty back from the machine shop along with a matched set of floating pin rods and stock stroke 24x crank on Halloween! Anyways my 2001 lq4 punched right out to 4.065. I can't wait to start putting it together! Unfortunately my luck has not been great lately and our fridge crapped out last week and so instead of buying my new pistons I had to buy a new refrigerator instead. I should hopefully be in good shape in another week or so to buy the LS3 drop in Pistons and rings from ws6store so save me a set guys! I also need a good head gasket to mate my old notched 853 heads to the block. Are the ws6 ls3 pistons likely going to be out of the hole a little bit like the stockers would be? I'm shooting for around 11:1 compression on this guy

Our 6.0/6.2 rpmspeed gaskets will work there

The pistons are usually at deck. I installed 3 sets this year and all were at 0 deck. Our head gaskets are .045 also.

Sorry ws6 store, I'm on a tight budget for this build and I was able to get a really great deal on these standard LS3 flat tops instead so I just had to pass on your pistons. I paired them with a set of sealed power E99-7K piston rings and they fit beautifully. I Did however just receive my pair of your house brand 0.045 head gaskets that you recommend for my notched 853's and they look great! I'll get back to work on the heads and ad some more pics soon! Check out them shiny freshly Honed Holes!

Have you checked your piston to wall numbers? What did ring gap measure at?

I have no idea and I don't care! 🙃 the car this motor is going in has participated in the roadkill $3,000 or less hooptie challenge so in keeping with that I need to make this a cheap dirty *** motor.

I got the 853 heads I'm using off Craigslist for 75 bucks and the to 212 218 115 LSA Comp high-lift Cam I'm using I also got off Craigslist, I traded that with a guy for the original LS1 engine block that came with the car, it had a fist size hole in it. I think he wanted to make a table out of it or something. I found the car in alley with no wheels on it, the motor blown up I had to bring my own wheels to get it home it wasn't even a goddamn roller when I got her. the car looked like Murphy after the warehouse scene in the original RoboCop when I first got it.

The the piston rings I'm using are listed shelf LS3 replacements and they shouldn't need to be filed either, I'm putting this entire long block together for less than the cost of a used unopened high mileage Lq4 long block (over 1K locally) and I'm in this engine for about 8 hundred or less I'll put the receipts together later for you all

#7 looking a little better than it used to!

Mexicans Always Get Across and then they give us the best budget valvesprings for daily driver builds like this.

These Fel-pro valvestem seals are great, I used these on my flat top 5.3 and it doesn't burn a drop of oil

"SHB" I guess it stands for "stock heads bro" or any other silly phrase you can think of haha

Thanks for stopping by sorry I neglected to thank you earlier, much like I neglected to really measure anything in this bottom end

These low cost replacement true flat tops appear to be slightly above deck, though probably not quite as much as a factory slug. all the factory pistons I've seen appear to stick out a lot more than that and I run a 0.045 gasket on those all the time with high compression and crap gas in a heavy truck so the ws6 store 6.0/6.2 gaskets where a no brainier for this beautiful $300 bore and hone, $247 dollar pistons, and the rings were $130 (Sealed Power) to match up with my $75 dollar 853 heads. I delivered pizza with it all last Sunday night and It survived my fast and hard break in so well it broke the power steering pump so now I'm just really excited to see what it will do with some drag radials

I just drove it again but wow I've only put 124 miles on it but I let it have a Wot 1-2 with those 2.73's oh man it's really an animal! It feels like It might be able to keep up with my cam only LS1 and I haven't even touched the tune yet !?

Here's the rocker that was over the spring that broke on the 4.8L setting this build going, they are all different Only one was stamped A4 and it was over the spring that broke. I don't know what that means lol but I re- used it on this iron 6.2L which, after some more driving I have decided to name it the "tourqe-pig-376" haha

Those casting numbers really mean nothing. They are batch numbers and casting mold numbers.

This build is a curse of my own creation, everything that is wrong with the car is my fault and its just random enough to get me crazy. I realize it was a random happenstance, I just thought it was funny that it had A4 on it however my next hurdle on this hot rod quest really surprised me. At 172 miles in right After my first Wot 1-2 shift around 6700 (awesome with those 2.73 haha!) the harmonic balancer came loose and walked forward on the crank about an 1/8th of an inch and I just stripped the bolt trying to get it back on and I over tourqed it out of of worry that it would come loose again so I'm in the process of fixing that as I write this.

i already took the electric fans out of the way to get more room I hope I can repair this easily I plan to just douse the threads in blue loctight if I can get them clean enough with this tap set
