Default will this cam run on a stock tune?

I have a LS1 swapped RX7 FC that I bracket race in multiple classes. I like where the car is time-wise right now and don't really want it to go much faster at all, yet. i want to keep it eligible for the slower classes still. (it runs high 11's low 12's, in the 1/4 & about 7.5x-7.7x in the 1/8 depending on conditions) on a cold day it ran a best of 11.54 @ 117.

That said, I believe I've had a lifter spin(tell-tale chirping & shavings in the oil) and it's taking out the cam, so the car is parked until I pull the engine, hopefully that's all that's wrong.

AFAIK, the current cam & tune is stock, but I'm considering a cam that is very close to stock specs....

my only changes so far in the tune are for emissions delete, 3600 stall converter & shift points.

stock cam specs on this should be for a 99 camaro: duration @ 0.050: 198/209 lift: .498"/.497" LSA: 119.5

the cam I'm considering: duration @ .050": 204/211 Lift: .520"/.521" LSA: 115

Will it run on a stock tune safely or should i just stick a stock cam back in?

i'm also doing upgrades to be ready for a bigger cam later, i just don't want to yet.

It wont be worth doing without tuning it imo. And if youre going to tune it you might as well put something in alot better than that.

.
That cam is basically an LS2 cam with one degree less LSA and a hair less lift. Unless you ARE spec'ing an LS2 cam and some specs are a bit off.
