Default Who can fix an erl Superdeck block

I burned up or did something two tiny spots on my block, and since their sleeves were made in house I don’t know what to do

I know ERL quit selling to the performance market but they said they were still going to do commercial work so I guess the first thing I would do is see if you can reach someone on that side of their business. They may have a recommendation on what can be done and who can do it. If you can find out what material was used to make the liners it can likely be welded and machined. Did you run into some detonation issues with it? How do the pistons look, Any signs of detonation?

The sandblasted look and pitting is a sure sign of detonation.
Agreed on contacting ERL for questions about liners.

I take back my last statement on the liners.

Im curious, why do you have all that silicone over the deck? Was you having water leakage problems? If so did you use the GM coolant tabs?
I have an ERL super deck as well, but not running yet still sitting on the dining room table.
Or is that just for the 6 bolt conversion? I reached over and felt of that conversion piece and it is not completely smooth.

It’s a six bolt and that’s how erl instructed me to do it. It’s a copper headgasket and o rings setup

Only one piston looks that way and the discoloration seem to be from the heads crumbling apart

Hmmm. I didn't get that little nugget of info from them, actually no assembly info at all, all I know is what I read on the Interwebs.
Did they recommend a copper head gasket?
