I’m going to be running a carbed ls1 with a T56 in a 80 Trans Am. I have a set of 241s and 2 sets of 862s. My plan for either is to hand port them and if I go with a 5.3 head have 2.00 intakes put in. Which head after ported would you all recommend for a low 230s cam with a dual plane. Rear gear and cam haven’t been chosen yet. I don’t care to flycut if needed. I know a 243/799 would be the better choice but seeing as I have these and the motor isn’t built yet I wanted to use one of what I have.
