Default 4.8 Drift build max n/a inefficiency and lameness

Okay guys here we go!

how do you all think this one would run?

4.8L bottom end with the -8cc 5.3L dished Pistons, 317 heads, and ls6, ls9, or ms3 cam all my friends have and aren't using because people gave me these parts for free and I can build an engine with them for some reason because they all bolt together !!!! Wheeeee!!!!!

I don't even have a car yet and I don't have any interest in tuning it no matter how much I read otherwise!!! what kind of oil should I use or how much I'm going to need to drill the throttle body, but I want to build this badass engine in my garage right now just to have it ready to go when I find the right rolling tragedy to put it in!!!!

I've read threads like these way too many times with you all because parts out there for these engines are just lying around everywhere nowadays, people are able to build some really pretty pathetic stuff because they can, though they shouldn't. I don't even think what I quoted up there would even run LOL, This post was of course a joke everybody, just a friendly reminder that compression is your best friend when you're building an engine on a budget and looking for a great result you can feel in seat of your pants. Happy Holidays everyone!

With those 5.3 pistons and those heads, your compression will be 7.78:1. It will be a DOG.
Just because something's free does NOT make it a good idea. This is a worst case scenario.
Don't use any of those cams either. Coupled with the above combo, it won't power a lawnmower
This sounding more like trolling all the time.... LOL
Build this.. I wanna see what happen next...

Read his post. I did the SECOND time and realized he was laughing thru the whole thing. Then I was too....
He thought up the ABSOLUTE WORST combo of parts, including the cams!! Good job, I must say...

To safely get the 500hp dry shot of NOS past the intake tract and into the 4.8 drift motor, the OP will need an LS1 intake with EGR. It will need an adapter & two TB spacers so the 120mm TB will fit.

The 120 TB & EGR are critically important for the big dry shot.

1) The big TB is needed to funnel all of the Vin Diesel like awesomeness the big 500hp dry shot.

2)The EGR cover plate will act as a high tech blow off plate if there is a NOS hiccup/burp and protect that premium LS1 intake manifold.

😉 😆 🤣

Joke build or not what's really sad is the fact that this combo probably would still make considerably more power than most engines from the late 70's to the mid/late 80's. They were lucky to make 170 flywheel horsepower lol

Don't knock the Quadrajet, It was actually a great carb if you knew what to do with it and it wasn't warped from over tightening.

...or leaking from the plugs in the bottom

Agreed a properly set up Q-Jet is amazing to behold...as close to fuel injection level daily driver friendly as possible...with a carb.
