Wow, now you got me thinking....maybe mine is the only one that's straight up? That would make mine idle smoother than one that's at +4 (since you're opening the intake valve up earlier) if there really is a difference between mine and the others. Then again, maybe I'm wrong and mine is really +4 too? The mystery continues....

From what I remember MTI told me on the phone, there is no advance ground into the SSII cam. Maybe it was another cam.

I would like to know what the differences are between the cam Colonel has, and what MTI is selling right now. Who grinds them, Lunati or Comp? and would there be a difference either way? I can see Colonel's cam is a 581/581 lift, and MTI is a 576/581 lift. If this cam was designed per Colonel's spec's, and there are variences in ICL, build manufacture,and lift, won't this change how they perform? I'm interested in this cam myself but would like to know the run down...

Comp did mine. I told Jayson to specify 224/220 116 +0 to them. Lunati has done all the rest but was supposed to be doing them exactly the same as mine. I don't know where this +4 business came from. At this point I don't know for sure if that was a one off mistake, if all the SSII cams except for mine are +4, or if perhaps even mine is +4 (again, if it is, that's not what I specified nor is it what I've been told that it is.) I really don't *think* mine is +4 based on how well it pulls out the high RPMs.

Here is the cam card. I know it's off center on the scroll but I marked the icl and degrees of advance.

Yep, your right. Looks like it is on a 112 ICL with 4* ground in (116 LSA), not straight up..But you know that sounds about right, a 116 ICL straight up seems a bit on the high side anyway, but I'm no expert .

I can vouch for the sleeper cam that Jason posted about previously which Texas Speed Sells....i just dropped it in a couple weeks ago with some manley springs and retainers....dynoed 350/350 w/ longtubes and off road y...stock intake-heads-throttlebodie etc...even without cats you still cant tell its got a cam

again the specs are 220/220 .581/.581 115 LSA....TIME TO SLEEP
