So the story goes about a couple weeks ago my f250 shot craps and I needed to get myself an truck so I bought a 2001 GMC Sierra SL single cab 2wd long bed V8 4.8 anyways so I figured to build that up rather than put the 4.8 in an s10 or a foxbody anyways I'm a huge fan of having my cake and eating it to so I'm thinking for stage 1

just for simple bolt ons as this is my daily driver see where things go from there
You didn't mention gearing, torque convertor, max shift rpm, or what you expect in terms driveability. You've picked a pretty stout cam for a small 4.8L, moderate static compression, and no boost.
Sloppy works great in some combos, and poorly in others. Give more details, and I'm sure you'll get some better suggestions. And if your picking the cam based on cost Summit has some very affordable grinds that will be much better suited for a small displacement, mild compression. NA engine.

Yea stage one is just getting it prepared for boost
If you want a cam that works well with boost, but will also be tolerable as a NA in the meantime; the SUM-8715 is a better and still economical choice.
