Default Bardhal ls1 465+rwhp ls6 TEA Summit ECS Cam

Ok, so at last I can make a thread of mine.
First, thanks to God for give me all I have. My father for teaching me mechanic and the passion for cars since I was a child. For giving me old books about the sbc like from old chevy performance panflets from the 70s to hotrod books to gm performance book. Also to his best engine builder, the late Smokey Yunnick, his books and articles from child expanded my mind on the sbc. My brother for helping me when I don't know something, my friends, my friends in the industry ( Brian Tooley, Smith at TEA, ECS, Patg, Edgyvette), and to all of you here who for the past years I have read all your threads and usefull information. Living in Puerto Rico the shipping is way higher than in the mainland so is hard but love it.

now to the build itself

My car is a 2000 Camaro SS 6-speed. here I will put pics of my old build wich the rwhp I got is from and the new one. old one it broke, it hydrolock in a flood just finishing tuning with patg.

stage 1 build;
243 heads CNC TEA ti valves 59cc
.041 gaskets
btr springs
ECS cam
ls6 intake
1 3/4 hooker with full 3" y pipe with cherrybomb exth
ls7 clutch
slp lid
that made 433rwhp and 391rwtq

old build 1.5
ls1 with 11.6cc
.041 gaskets
stage 1 243 heads CNC with stock size Titanium valves 59cc
BTR springs ti
ls7 lifters
btr pushrods 7.235
ls6 intake Tpis 90mm and ported by edgyvette, 90mm throttle alper Motorporst, 98mm lid
SSRA non a/c but I made it fit with AC...
ecs n/a cam
ls2 timing chain with damper
1.8 scorpion rr
improvedracing scraper
ATI 15% damper
Speedengineering 1 7/8 headers with True duals 3" exhaust
this got me 464rwhp and 399rwph.

ok before you start yes, the tune was orrible.
I had A LOT pf problems.
the 435 tune was ok.... after installing the new parts I put a wideband in my car. I get to my local tunner again and told him I wanted a SD tune. he said ok and started tune it in the dyno. since the start there was a problem with it. it made a misfire from 3k until 5k or so. it gave high numbers in 6k+ but mid was lazy and torque was stupid low. he tried but to no avail. he told me it was the fuel pump or ignition. I got to my home and did test to the pump and coils, all good. my brother then tells me its running lean. so after that I said to hells with it, I buy hptuners and started tuning it myself but continued the same.

after 3 months reading and reading I tslked and buy a remote tuning with the man himself, Patrick Guerra or by his name here Patg. In the first tune the car idled great, the misfire was gone, I could drive it and I was like damnnn this guy in texas fixed my car. he send me 12 tunes to this day and I have to tell it, this guy is a brain tuning cars. my car is SD tuned and this guy took my car that was running horrible and in 1 day fixed it.
Patrick, THANKS.

So when we were in mid tuning it to perfect the car broke. it hydrolock in a flood. I forgot about the ssra and injested water and a rod let out number 7 and made a hole in the block so here begins again

Rip my dear friend. You had a good life

2.0 build.
ls1 347
summit pistons and rods. 3.903 with -3.00cc dome and 6.125 rods on stock crank ( these pistons run .005 in the hole at 9.240 height. I deck the block .015 and got me .010 out.
decked block .015
straub gasket 0.51
12.08 final compression ratio with .041 quench
c5r timing chain
straub cam retainer
clevitte h bearings for all
8.8 rear end build 4:11 with truetrac diff.
same parts from the old build.

I'm very amazed how many rwhp I am with the ls6 intake. all my friends told me I never made these with a stock style intake. fast and fast.
I made the most rwhp on the island on oem intake before it broke.. now I expect 470rwhp-475 with the bigger cc, lighter pistons and rods, better sealing rings and a few tricks of mine. all that with a ls6 intake and 243 heads.

later I will go to a ported MSD when I can save money

no dyno numbers for it but will soon know. I have to end the 500mile break in then after that dyno time

Are you using plastigage on the backside of the bearing?

Backside?

No. Its on the inside, if you put it outside then what measurement are you gonna take? that is the only pic I got from it. but we measure all the mains and rods.

Yea, just looks like the back side of a bearing. Bad pic I guess.

Cool build, and impressive numbers so far, to say the least. What assembly lube is that your using?
