Default broken rocker bolt

Just broke one of my Harland Sharp rocker arm bolts
anyone know if I can replace it with one from a hardware store?
Are they hardened or just like a standard bolt?

Are they silver top or black???

If they are silver tops, please change them all. There has been a bad batch on the early ones ( bolts had to be trimmed to fit) They have since addressed this issue and produced correct bolts (Black tops)

a short race with a turbo Eagle Talon. I got to the next light and my car was ticking like crazy, so I turned around and limped home to pull the valve covers.

Contact your supplier and ask for replacements. Say you want to replace all and sent him the broken pieces in the mail.
Hmmm, I want a set of HS but now i wonder. In anycase All parts have defects and this could be just once in a fluke.
Good luck.

I'll check it. Did you have hardened pushrods?

Also should I put my stock rockers back on for now until I can get some replacements or should I try to find a bolt to replace the broken one?

Yes, it broke while racing a Supra. Still won too.

Default Bolt replacement campaign by HS?

I've installed a set of the RRs and want to know if HS is providing replacements just by calling 'em. I don't want to have to wait to send them a few broken ones.

While I haven't had a bolt break off (yet), I did have to clearance the bolt heads supplied with the rockers to clear the rocker arm bolt hole. Not to all of them, maybe just six rockers or so. They are the black ones also. I just put the bolt on a drill, and went to town on it with a file.
