Default 6.0 build

Ok maybe this is the correct section. I have a 2004 lq4 i plan to put 243 heads on . The heads are milled . 20 but may need to cleanup to . 30. My question is with stock mls gaskets will there be valve clearance issues. I also plan to go to the wiesco flattop forged piston. Thanks to anyone who knows are takes the time to respond. Will also be running a nitrous express crossbar on this with a gary williams carb. Oh the cam ia a texas speed 231-234-108 with supporting springs and pushrods.

Well for starters, it’s .030, not .30. Try redoing your calculations again.

PTV clearance. Acceptable is .090"

Anything closer and you could potentially kiss valves to pistons from float/overrevs

I would check it

Valve reliefs on pistons will help

You will have to check. With .030 milled and those cam specs the intake will be getting close.

The difference between .030 and .30 is kinda like the difference between "I helped my uncle, Jack, off his horse", and ... something COMPLETELY ELSE.

Some twerp can come in here and call whoever a "grammar ****", but if he can't express himself clearly, he's just another laughable incoherent blowhard.

That said, I doubt he'll have any PTV clearance problems, unless he does something like the guy that posted on here acoupla days ago did with the photo of his timing set "a half tooth off". Like, somehow, you can split teeth on a sprocket.

If pistons have valve reliefs, they will help to avoid ptv clearance issues with that cam on a 108 lsa. Cams ground on a low lsa will less ptv clearance. Should you have any further ?s, feel free to call or text me...
