Sounds kinda like something to do with the accessory drive. Try removing the belt(for a short time of course) if it does it again.

Thanks for saying this, Jake Wade, as I thought exactly this but everyone else said lifters, so I just left it alone until I could get an appointment at the shop to look. I thought I was being an idiot thinking accessories/ belts. The only non standard accessories is a 25% UDP, everything else is as when I purchased the car brand new, but if it happens again, I'll check them. Cheers

Sounds like a pulley or tensioner

That sounds just like my idler pulley issue. I replaced the tensioners on both the A/C and the main drive and the main drive idler pulley and put new belts on and the sounds went away. I did replace the main drive tensioner with a Katech unit too. Seriously great investment.

You may want to consider our SUM-8720R1 218/227 112 + 2 .600/.600. Valve events are I/O -1, I/C 39, E/O 47, E/C 0 for a net of -1 overlap. We close the intake valve four degrees earlier than our own SUM-8715R1 for a bump in low end and midrange. We maintain the lift that works with common TFS-16918-16 beehives. $299.99 at the time of this writing, Our world famous shipping capability, SUM-HTLSKIT2 LS7 replacement lifters and everything you need to get the engine together.

Thanks for the replies, guys. Fascinating that all you guys have said the same issue (as I originally thought too) when everyone else I showed the video to said lifters. Having already had lifters fail not that long ago, I went with it without much thought.

I will need to speak to my mechanic (different to the shop who does the performance mods) to find out their thoughts as this has happened twice straight after they performed a service and then gone away. Difference this second time was it lasted a lot longer and I was able to actually hear it when the car was stopped.

Thanks for the reply, Summitracing, I had only been looking at Cams I could get locally in Australia (as a backup option) due to time constraints. Now, it doesn't look like lifter issues and thus no cam damage like when my previous lifters failed, so keeping the current cam as I was really happy with it. Cheers.
