Damn those Fbody engine installs. Those motor under cowl cars are seriously labor intensive.

Probably gonna remove as much of that as I can and get rid of the passenger windshield wiper to make room for a Holley High Ram or a TVS2650 should I decide to go forced induction later. It's really not an issue to work on the car anymore since doing away with air conditioning.

Montgomery, TX here and it's just something for me to go play with. Probably stay NA for awhile but it's built for NOS.

So what do you guys think this motor will make at the flywheel? Still not sure what I'll run for fuel but leaning more towards C12 than C85. Done some reading but I'm still not sure if it's even possible to make flex fuel work with a 411 ECU in order to run E85 but frankly that fuel has me on the fence.

LS370 with 12.5:1 compression with a stock LS3 intake, NW92, 823 cylinder heads, 238/246 .633/.633 111+3, TSP 1 7/8 headers

I agree. E85 is a crapshoot since it isn't necessarily always "85". It can be all over the map octane-wise.

Sounds like the engine has the potential to break 575+ flywheel hp with good E85.

Flywheel 600 easy. Nice cam specs. Whose .633 lobes?

Thank you for the responses and yeah E85 scares me with not having the flex fuel capabilities. Pat G spec'd the cam and it's a CamMotion 8620 core with PGN368 custom lobes. Not even sure what that means.

Stock LS3 42 Lb. injectors? I just finished a similar engine with a couple points less compression and a milder cam, on paper its 507 HP.

It’s easy to run flex fuel with a 411 ECU. You basically just have to wire/plumb in a flex fuel sensor, then change the operating system in the ECU to get the ethanol tables.

I saw something about this on youtube where you pin a wire to 56 pin on the blue connector and provide power and ground for the flex fuel sensor. Next thing was to download the tune file for 2002 Tahoe flex fuel vehicle and I guess this is something the tuner would do. So once this is all been setup the ECM can make changes to the tune depending on the ethanol content?

Trick is to buy a hydrometer and a drum of E100, test the fuel and add ethanol to bring it up to a full 85+ percent, its the one plus of E85, the additives are already in in there,,
You do have to sort how to tell the gallons in the tank, I used a dipstick that I marked by adding a gallon at a time so I could tell whats in there, test and add as needed.

Math is involved.. LOL BTW if you don't have e100 locally, you can buy drums of 100% ethanol at chemical/oil suppliers , they also sell methanol.
