Default 4.8 supercharged

Hey all have a stock 4.8 with a .600 cam 706 heads long tube headers thinking of a v-7 supercharger what kinda numbers would I be look at

like to later on make it a 383

A supercharger is a waste of time on such a small displacement engine. Look up Richard Holdener on youtube and watch his supercharger vs turbo video. I have a stroked 5.3 with a procharger f1a and i wish i went with an ls3 or turbo instead.

What kinda power u at with ur set up..

iv seen some where that the 4.8 do good on boost where there a short stroke and rev higher but idk…

I was wanting to do the supercharger arp bolts and a set of dome pistons and diff pulleys like to see 5 to 6 to the wheels but might not happen…

I have a ls3 block but it’s been bored out to 4.105 and idk about it be a nice n/a build but hate to put money into it an blow a piston out of it

650hp 4.8 Turbo

I'd imagine, one could make similar hp or more with a supercharger. Probably make even more with turbochargers.

I've made 600 to the wheels on 3 different 4.8s now on stock long block with cam/springs and cheap china turbos.
Turbo is definitely the way to go on a 4.8.

How much boost was u running and single or twine I’m not agent’s a turbo it would be cheaper it looks like just really ain’t done much research on them

This is a 5.3 with forged pistons, rods, 4” forged crank, tick blower cam, procharger F1-a, cnc’d afr 205’s on 11lbs and pump gas. This is through a T56 magnum and ford 8.8 irs. Tuner could only run it to 6,000 because the boost was gonna go to 13-15lbs and that was too much for pump.

sounds like a nice set up good # too I can see what ur talking about on wishing u when with a turbo tho still like them tq # down low tho

Well I’m stating to like the sound of turbo looks to be better and cheaper for the most part plus I found a nice looking kit that fits my truck y’all got any thoughts on it

goal was 5 to 6 to the wheels but considering the v-7 supercharger was going to run me over 6k an this kit will run me around 4k I’d like to see more but with this kit it’s made to fit good and more for later on I hope

I would avoid the CX racing kit like the plague and get something from Huron Speed.

how long did the single set up last on a stock 4.8 just wondering if I should upgrade anything on the motor I found a 78/75 turbo set up that I think will fit good
