All of Mikey's work has proven time and time again that he is a reputable person to work on the LS1. I know numerous people that have gone to him, and I've never heard a single complaint. He is more than capable to tune an LS1, and knows what is best for particular setups.

Just because your friend chose a large cam doesn't necessarily mean he's going to get large numbers. If the car can't breathe in the higher rpms (where this cam really performs), then it's not going to perform as well as you think.

I'm not doubting his skills or reputation whatsoever. I'm just saying that since he worked on the car, he might have something more to comment.

And trust me, I TOTALLY understand this cam needs air. I said that before he even got the stuff ordered.

yea im sure he would tell you your missing key parts and your not comparing apples to apples

when this guy decides to get all of the parts to work with the set up he should be closer to where others have gotten with that cam

Far as I'm concerned 380RWHP LS1 intake and stock heads is a pretty stout number. I remember not long ago when the absolte best you could hope for was 405 after spending like 8k on a heads and cam package.

Good news to hear. I just think we we're getting a bit too excited with all the big numbers being thrown around with the G5X3 and were being a bit optimistic with what little was done to get the air in.

Thanks everyone for all the help. Thanks goes to Mikey too... I want that IROC... I'll trade you even up for the Grand Am

Thanks man. Did you get anything? I was too busy being suprised I got anything, so I didn't hear who got 2nd and 1st in that class.

Also, for that video, get a hold of boseman350 (he's the kid with the silver WS6 that was at the show), he should be able to host it for you.

And you've already got the intake... one thing though is your torque is a bit higher. My buddys was only 352.

What times do you have with that setup?

Damn the garage queens

Mine gets driven through everything but snow. I just hit 18K miles. I bought it with 12K back in April though... so yeah, I do a lot of driving.

My 01 Z had 91K when I sold it

You also have to take into consideration that not all stock LS1 GM short blocks are the same. Each and every motor has it's own characteristics. One motor may have been whooped on much more then another and that whooped on motor will most likely not produce as much power due to the wear and tear it sustained.
