I also want to add that I didn't just go about this all ***** nilly style lol. I looked at probably a half dozen shops across the country. Most of which you have all probably heard of.

The one thing that kept leading me back to AMS was the reviews. Well throw out the ding dong reviews that don't know how a cam affects an engine lol.

The other was the no tax thing. The other builders wanted to charge me shipping and tax instead of just shipping.

I also talked to these guys on the phone for a good 15 minutes or so and still slept on it before ordering. No high pressure sales at all. Sounds like they have plenty of work that they don't need to force sales.

Lead time at the time was 4-6 weeks. I think I got a call for completion just into the 4th week.

They used R+L Carries for shipping and they did a great job as well. Made it from Louisiana to Tacoma Washington in 6 days.

I think if they would have let me pick this shipper I could have saved a couple hundred bucks but at the time I just wanted this short block so bad I could taste it.
