Default Camshaft for blackbirds car

Blackbird has some nice well-thought-out setups. I was thinking about how I would aggressively cam his 383 + or a similar setup with at least 11.5 or more compression

these cams would also work well with an intake choked setup like mine, at least if it had a great exhaust system, though obviously the power numbers would be lower.

236/236 111.5 LSA

This one is very flexible for somebody with some compression and a great exhaust, I'd move ICL around between 110° and 115° depending on the setup.

240/248 113 LSA + 0.5° advance

This one would make some pretty cool noises with my intake restricted high compression setup and it would easily clear stock flat top pistons with my 706 heads and yet it would work well in some of the more well thought out max effort type setups.

Given where the industry has gone I'm really beginning to miss those good old MS3 or 4 vs. T-Rex cam days.

240/248 113 would thump!
Probably too radical for me put around with in anything smaller than a 427/440 LS ...wink.

Today's .55x lift cam(s) often seem the new .62x lift cam(s) of yesterday...wink. Quite the change from when a 220/220 later a 224/224 was seen as the smallest cams worth fooling with to do a cam swap. However, there been a bug influx of modding 4.8's & 5.3's etc for trucks so the shift in cam profiles makes sense overall I guess.

Anyway, I like the the 236/236 idea for a 383 LS1, ai think MTI used to offer a similar cam called "C1" or similar.

I'll be having a TSP 236-244, 629-615, 111+3 Cam with less than 200 on it in a week or two if anyone interested. Removed due to a head explosion, and rebuild process stepping up to more aggressive everywhere
