On startup having high rev issues, not all the time just when wants up to about 3k and then will level out generally once warm. I read maybe a vacuum leak? I have an 02 z28 ss gen 3, ls6 intake l7 rods and rockers moderate cam. Any help would be appreciated. Maybe sensor? Or vacuum leak is what I'm getting??

Check for vacuum leaks first, THEN debate on other causes.

Did you ever find out?? I had the same issue in my LS swapped ‘73 c/10 and couldnt find any vacuum leaks or any other obvious reasons….so i just bit the bullet and removed the 0411 factory ecu and standalone harness and started to install a terminator x i have had bought over a year ago along with a vortech supercharger i bought at the same time with intentions of installing them after i was done painting her….but winter and crappy weather put a stall on any paint work so i just went ahead with the ecu and performance upgrade!!! Im hoping the random revs were ecu related cause i changed the tps and iac as well, either way the terminator was gonna be the next move it was just sped up to a sooner date!!!

‘73 c/10 shortbed fleet that originally had a 250 i6 and granny 4 speed…..guy wanted $5500 originally for it but when i got to it and seen the buckled hood and typical rust on fenders and doors i beat him down to $3500 cash…..he took the bait!!!

Within a week i had this 220/220 cammed 5.3 and 3000 stalled th350 running and driving in it….this truck boogies but i wanna squeeze 500/600 hp out of it so im gonna be adding a vortech centrifugal supercharger to it once the terminator is fully installed….just gotta switch the 02sensor run the main power cables to the battery and setup the hand held!!!
