Default 4.8 bored .020 piston size

I'm thinking it's just adding to the stock bore size. So a 3.800 piston? Since it's a 3.780 standard bore.

First engine build. Thanks in advance.

What is your goal?

Is it in need of an overbore? Stock rebuild? If you're going to go to the trouble to machine the block anyway, I'd get some 5.7L pistons and bore it out to 3.89", then get a 5.3 crank and rods.

Bam, iron 5.7.

My goal is around 500. Nothing too wild. Machine shop already bored it to .20 over. What they recommended. So if i made a mistake on research thats on me. I was trusting them for their knowledge.
