Gen 3 lq4 high rev

Gen 3 lq4 high rev Lq4 on start up it revs up to 4000 rpms then drops to like 1500 then revs right back to 4000 over and over like someone it smashing the gas and letting off have All sensors connected and vacuum lines it’s an aftermarket intake manifold sheet metal from jegs and a sloppy stage 2 cam
pcm is tuned and bought with the engine iacv too and set screw on throttle body is damn near all the way down (I plan on using a 4l80e and it’s my first ls swap so I’m not sure if not having the transmission connected and the pcm not being able to read what gear the trans is in and no vss or nss or tcc could mess with it) anyone know!

You need to learn your own car a lot better.... don't rely on others for info on YOUR car....

Yep i bet that intake manifold is leaking around the intake flanges / cyl head area really bad.

If the TB has a adjustable set screw for idle control (which drives me crazy…sucks to tune) it is a DBC TB. DBW TB’s don’t have this feature. OP mentioned in first post it has the set screw.
