.0018 top ring and .0026 for the bottom ring sound about right for a set of forged pistons in a 4" bore LS3 engine? I'm running close to 12:1 compression.

Last time I built an engine using Mahle pistons and actually called them and the guy was basically on board with the current trend of larger 2nd gap than 1st also, was around 2015 or so. That was a NA only street built 383 (3.905" bore) that I wanted it to be sealed up tight for the guy. I set it up at 0.018" top and 0.022" 2nd.
