Did all LQ4 blocks have those mounting provisions?? I'm like 99.99% sure my 04 block didn't have them. The machine shop wanted to install one but it just wasn't there

Pretty sure they don't.

My 06 LQ9 block, which is the same as the LQ4 one, didn't have them. Maybe some do, like the OP's does, butt def not all.

They're SSSSSOOOOOOPER EEEEEEEEEEEZZZZZZZZZZZZZY to add. I did it with a hand drill, using the damper itself as a template.

I figured as much. Too little too late for me. I'm not about to open things up just to install a dampener. It's been running perfect without one the whole time so it'll be good until I either have a catastrophic failure or build a different engine whichever comes first

summit or icy has an adapter that goes onto the cam plate I think and you bolt the dampener to that instead of having to drill holes for one. Makes it easier.
