It's all personal taste. I've done everything the forum's will tell you doesn't work. Small high lift cam, CNC 241 heads, short headers, no MAF etc... However, the result has been great. I'm still really happy with the result for how I use the car, and for the sound / manors I wanted. It performed better than I ever expected when I started. Particularly as it's only ever been in street trim.

Is it right for anyone else? I can't say. Others may be very disappointed in the dyno sheets.

If doing it again, I would get this cam again. Or similar. I would not rule out going a touch bigger if I could get the valve events right for my needs. A little smaller may add a touch more low down, but I think after a few years, I would stick with what I have instead as the base line size.

However, I may be tempted to try something with a big split too. Like a 214/232 with lots of lift. I considered it at the time. But that would be for my own curiosity.
I've been waiting for this day for 3 months:

Check out this video. Truck norris vs btr stage 1. Btr stage 1 or the hot rod cam (slightly less lift, slightly higher lsa) could be right up your alley.

The hot rod and btr stage 1 cams are more top end / racing cams though, as their power shines above 4k. And as you go up in stage, you get even more top end in exchange for low end torque. That's why I like the truck norris cam. It is the best down low but still winds out to 6500 with the bigger 224 exhaust duration.

Sorry for the confusion. I won't be changing cams, I'm very happy with what I have. What I meant was that if I ever had to change cams again (say a mechanical failure), I may try something different since I've had 2 cams so similar.

That would probably be a 214/232 or similar. I wouldn't buy a cam that was moving the power up the rpm though. I was simply curious if I added more exhaust duration, how the results would look. But to retain my overlap requirements, while maintaining the low down performance, im thinking 214/232 is about right. EPS used to make a cam that was bang on. But I don't think they're around anymore?

I personally wouldn't pick either of the Cams in that video. Even the stage 1 (217/23, .615/.636, 113) has too much overlap for me. The Truck Norris is definitely too rowdy, and doesn't have enough lift. However, there's plenty of others whom they are perfect for.
