I am I've found multiple restoration of 77 camaros and ls swaps but they are usually LS3s and I haven't really found sources that I fully believe is right about what required for a LM7 to make 700 who. The sources I've found are all it needs are head studs and upgraded gasket and that's it. Which as I said I don't know much but I feel like to make 700 whp mostly reliably isn't just gonna be studs and gaskets. I've found multiple tests of LM7 complete with dynos on YouTube and rather than explaining everything actually done to make 700 they just say turboed it pushed PSI now it makes 700 or more. Is this not what forums are for? For people who need help either getting the places to look or the answers themselves. Let me know if I've misunderstood what forums are used for. I'm trying to get into this hobby but Jesus Christ most of the people in here are just saying "you're a retard who isn't doing research".

As stated above if your response is do more research stop responding you're not helpful. Links or answers brother I'm still doing research on my own time.

I don't know where you're getting this information, but this is absurd.

Hi!

I have built quite a few cars over the years bit this is my first foray into the LS World so feel that we have a common bond at least on that level.

Best advice I can give you as a newbie is find Sloppy Mechanics on YouTube and spend the next 2 weeks learning from Matt.

He has a whole video series on how to build a budget turbo engine.

Start here

Look up VS racing Denmah kit that has all the parts you will need to replicate the dont BS me builds

Its basically how I learnt about LS engines, plus lurking on this forum and getting help when I had issues.

My build is really simple and is going to be in stages.

Stage 1 - which is where I am now - LM7 out of a 2007 Silverado 1500. This is the one with the early block and the late rods so basically a race car engine.
T56.
Walbro 450 Pump in tank with fuel lines to support 700hp
In line filter and Chinese knock off fuel pressure regulator
Stock ECU with Speartech base tune
Modified harness

Just wanted to get everything running before I started to modify.

Stage 2

VS racing Denmah kit
Cam and springs - unsure which one as yet but either a Sloppy Stage2 or a BTR/ Richard Holdner cam
SnakeEater Injectors

That will get me to 500whp which in a 66 C10 will be plenty enough for burn outs and ice cream.

I have built 7-800hp cars. Its expensive if you want to hook it all up. 500whp in something like a Gen2 Camaro will be plenty to keep you busy plus won't be expensive to build and have fun with especially if it is your first adventure in automotive.

What ever you decide to do enjoy and have fun!

Paul
