When did the Gen4 Rods "show-up" ?

When did the Gen4 Rods "show-up" ? I am advised that by 2004 "All" of the LQ4 had floating piston pins. ........... Agree or disagree?
Also, told that ALL LQ9 had floating pins....... Agree or disagree?
Did later 5.3 Gen3 LM7 -at some point start being equipped with floating pins?
. Any way to tell from outside, ie model year, casting numbers, or some such?

Some started in 2004 like the LS1 but by the release of 2005 model year they all had them. 4.8, 5.3 , 5.7, 6.0

There is such thing as the big rods with press pins also. I have also see a post on here where the poster mentioned having 4 early and 4 late rods around the changeover time.
