Default Please post if you have the MTI X1 or TR 230

MTI X1: 230/227 .591/.571 112 lsa
TR 230: 230/224 .569/.563 111 lsa

I know specs are specs but I've come to find out that cams are alot different as far as timing and how its degreed and its base circle or whatever its called... etc. Both claim fast ramp rates. I'm just wondering which one makes more power and has better sreetability. I might sacrifice some features for another. Anywhere I can find sound clips? Please post your opinions, dyno numbers, mods, and track times if you have them. Thanks.

BTW, I plan on using one of these cams with TEA Stage 2 5.3L heads milled .0015 for 11.0-1 compression, QTP long tube headers and an LS6 intake. I want to shift as high as I can without hurting the block which will remain stock. From what I hear, a 6800 rev limiter and shifting at 6600 rpm is safe. Thanks again.

I had the TR230 for a short time and it made excellent power. The drivability will be very similar between the two.

I had the X1 (last week) and just put in a little bigger cam - it is now forsale.. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

Also - I was very pleased with the cam - but I change out parts like socks.. LOL

I have the F1 from speedtek, specs are almost identical to the X1. The cam is in the car now, but still waiting on my QTP headers. Although, I'm using stock heads.

LOnSLO has the F1 and some stage 2 TEA heads. He put down 435 rwhp through a 9'' I believe he's swapping gears this week to 4.30s and looking for some low 11s at a rather pigish raceweight.

I would say the F1 is perfectly street friendly. I didn't find any problem with it in my car, and LOnSLO's car drives very smooth.
