Engine Removal Time
just do it, its very simple. i cant stand all of these guys on the board asking how to take the engine out, look at it and do it, whats so hard about it. if you need to be told to disconnect the steering shaft to drop the k-member then you dont belong under the hood.

I'm not asking how to do it. I'm asking how much time is involved. Besides, are you born to belong under a hood? No; it's something that you learn. Trust me, I have searched, and there aren't too terribly many threads on engine removal. Thanks for taking your frusteration out on me, though. 
sorry man and i wasnt implying that you needed instruction on how to do it or you couldnt do it, it just seems that most people dont want to try anything without someone holding there hand to do it.
it's really a piece of cake the first time i did it it took me about 4 hours, by the third one i can now do it in about 3. good luck
a little tip if you take the tranny out first it makes getting to the wires on the back of the cylinder and manifold alot easier to get to.

Iv'e done it in an hour or less with the help of a knowledgeably friend that I didn't have to show him what to do and it was very fast! I do it by myself no lift I just use an engine hoist in about 1.5-2.0 hours. And as far as the wiring goes I take the engine and trany with the engine harness with it I don't try to get anything that takes major time I just drop the whole thing and then take it apart on the ground with air tools etc... Here are a few pics.
This particular time I attached 4 5500lb straps from the lift to the front crossbar that goes across the frame rails, but in a few day when I have to take it out agian to install some forged pistons etc... I plan on attaching one strap around the core support. It allows me the maximum amount of lift etc...
