Default RWHP estimate with AFR 205's and TSP magic stick

What kind of rear wheel HP do you think this combo would produce? I think the cam specs are 237/242 with 610 lift on a 112 LSA. I have the usual bolt ons, LT's, lid, and SSRA.

It's going to depend on how many of those "little" mods it has (i.e. intake manifold, electric water pump, etc.). It will make a LOT of power, but we'll find out for sure pretty soon.

Let us know when you find out! Heads are going on next summer after school for sure. I'll probably do a cam swap as well and get something bigger than this lil' ol' 231/237...hmmmm T-Rex .

OOPS! Posted under a buddies name.

Trevor, I talked to Jason about the Magic Stick a week or so ago. Are you going to try this cam with a set of AFR 205's? soon? I heard the 231/237 cam in a car last weekend. It sounded nasty. What kind of lope does the magic stiick have. Is it similar to the Magic Stick? If so I'm going to have to put the cats back on to tone it down. I can't be intimidating people by just pulling up to the light.

I'll be the SSleeper then, huh Mike(99SSleeper)?

I'm hoping for 500rwhp with this set up.

From reading past posts, I understand that anything bigger than a 228 cam will need to have the pistons flycut with the AFR heads. Just something to think about. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

I'm not quite shure why that would be . From what I have heard, you actually gain about .010-.015" clearence when going to AFR's. Not quite shure why either. Also, lots of parts of the cam have a bigger effect on P/V clearence than the duration. You could have 4- 228 cams and all can have diffrent P/V clearence.

You could run our 231/237 easily with a set of unshaved AFR 205 heads without having to fly-cut the pistons. As mentioned above, you can have four different cams, all having the same duration at .050", and have completely different clearances. LSA and the amount of advance ground into the cam will change it quite a bit, not to mention the aggressiveness of the lobes!

We have 10 sets of AFR 205 cylinder heads on order from our original first order. Six of the sets are pre-sold, so we currently have four more sets up for grabs. If they aren't all pre-sold, we might have to try a set out.

Right.... With the amount of boltons that car has, I would say most any high flowing head and over sized cam would make the same power.

Trevor what do you think the HP difference is between the 231/237 and the magic stick?
