99+ block can safely be bored .010"
I know Sam98WS6 has a stroked 383 and a 98 block. After following his posts and PM'ing him and a few others, I felt safe enough to go with 3.903 (.005" hone) Pistons. I just received my Lunati 395 rotating assembly. I hope my 97 block holds up

The key terms are "hone". The 97 C5 and 98 Camaro/Firebird blocks do not have enough meat to do more than 0.004" of hone. I have read this in numerous articles and have not heard of anyone going beyond this. Now you CAN re-sleeve the 97-98 blocks with no issues like the newer blocks if you are going big cubes.

What would the cubic inch of a stock LS1 block be if it was bored .003" to a 3.901? What about .005" to a 3.903? And what if it had a Eagle 4.000" stroke crank in it? Thanks!
Here are some common bore & strokes that I have posted before.

I talked to several experts about that, and all of em said that was BS that you couldnt take the older blocks out this far

My local machine shop told me the same thing as long as I wasn't planning on using a power adder, it should be OK to go to 3.903~3.905

Mine was at 3.906 for 3 years and 300+ passes.
Went out to 3.907 without any problems at all. About 800 miles on the new setup and ~20 passes so far. (Same block but I went to the stroker. 4 inch eagle crank, 6.125 rods and diamond custom pistons)

i just bought the 383 kit eagle with je pistons h beam rods. told that the pistons were set for 5 thousandths bore (.005? same thing right?) its a 99 ls1 block. good setup? 2400$. 4" rods i know just enough to be dangerous. also where to buy arp head bolts for cheap? thanks.
a 383 is a 3.905 bore so I would assume thats what your Eagle pistons are for. Get the part number and call the supplier or eagle to be sure.
427...if you are running boost why not get an iron 6.0L block machined from APE...they are cheap. You may be asking for trouble with a 98 block.
