Thanks, that is certainly good advice, and is exactly what I would do if I wanted to compete in a road racing class. But I don't, I just want to lap the car and have it not blow up, not race it. I just want to learn the tracks better, not necissarly be the fastest thing out there. If I wanted to do that, I'd just bolt on some full slicks and strip and/or drill holes in every part of the car

I have a 125cc kart for wheel-to-wheel racing, and I do all the stuff you have talked about with it, in addition to data aquisition.

I totally agree...that is an excellent determining factor. To make a more useful decision, you might have to speak with yourself; how much for street and how much for track. Those two factors alone would be a difficult conclusion to arrive at for anyone in the same position as yourself. Btw, I read that the hammer cam (on a 112 or 114) makes mad-*** tq with ls6 heads (like over 400) yet is as docile as a TR224 without as aggressive geometry. If anyone else has a link to the hammer cam page I keep hearing about speak up now!

Scroll down and check out the low and mid-lift flow numbers there That looks pretty incredible if those numbers are accurate.

Oh and Carvinta, this is all for the street My idea of "streetable" is a lot different than most people's. At a road course I am just lapping for fun, and I don't need to be the fastest person out there. Because I realize how much money that costs, not just in performance parts but also in brakes and tires once you start getting more power. I just want the car to be able to lap for a while and be driven home without anything too expensive blowing up.

Nice cylinder heads. Work great with the ASA cam and LT headers. While your car is out of service you might want to consider upgrading the clutch. The clutches in the C5 are real challenging to get out so while your car is on the rack-why not? Also don't forget to upgrade the fasteners with ARP's - cheap insurance.
