Default Cam for stock heads

Which cam would you guys recommend for stock heads. I have TSP true duals, pacesetter LTs, lid and a pro 5.0 with the z06 clutch kit. I want a large lope.

TSP 224R 112LSA. 224/224/.581/.581/112LSA. Mine doesn't have any advance ground in. Makes good power and depending where you set the idle it lopes. I have it at 925 and it sound stock until I open the electric cutout. Good power from 6000 to 6500.

TSP Magic Stick v3, do a search in here and in the dyno forum, i believe it fits the stock heads without having to flycut.

While you're looking at TSP, ask about the 225/225 .589/.589 /112. They claim 390+ hp on stock heads. I will be installing mine in about a month.

everyone is just gonna recommend the cam that they have, what i suggest you do is more research and find the one that suites you. w/o knowing your intended application recommendations are pretty irrelevant.

I have searched many cams, and just want to hear what all people get out of there cams. I really am looking into the magic stick and the 231/237. I want extreme power and one hell of a lope.

well the magic stick will offer you higher numbers then the 231/237 for sure, no doubt about that. will also be rougher driving around town, and i don't know what your plans are for this car, but a 231/237 will put you right around 400rwhp cam-only. magick stick will get you quite a bit higher obviously, but down the road when you go to get heads, you'll be VERY restricted, as if you plan on getting anything other then stock height you'll be flycutting. for what its worth the 231/237 has a hell of a lope, and loves the spray. very strong cam, lays down great numbers. its the cam i have sittin in my room waitin on some complimenting parts to be installed. my car is a daily driver and wanted to avoid the bucking under 2k rpms that ppl with cams like TReX have. Thats just my .02.

the new MS v3 that was just introduced should be a litte more friendly then the v1 that I run, and I drive mine around no problems, its all in the tuning. Also, what is the big deal about flycutting?? Is it just something people dont want to do because they can't do it themselves in their own garage???

The sound tract did not load. I am planning on getting heads down the road and want to install them. Flycutting is not a huge deal for me, just not the biggest fan. But if the tune and power is there, i do not see a problem doing it.

actually lynda i have nothing against flycutting, i'm just not building this motor into a max-effort. i also realize that drivability is often found in the tune these days. however, right now my main focus has to be college, unfortunately and not my baby if i could work 65 hours a week to pay for her in all her glory, i most definitely would right now she upgrades in stages....
