about 550 for install and 495-650 for good tune

before i decided i to do the cam + valve spring install myself, the cheapest quote i could find would have been a minimum of $600. Since the heads already have the valve springs on them, it may even out. It also depends on if you are going to be adding a new oil pump or timing chain (that will add extra time as well)

Yes I did oil pump and timing chain as well.

Where did you get the 600$ price from local shop?? Or dealer?

$600 for h/c installed is a very low price.

shops here in kc are about 600 for heads alone, 450 cam alone, 800ish for both, plus all your caskets and misc parts.

I ussually charge $1200 -$1400 for install/tuning.Price depends on Header install? P/V clearance checks ect.

I and BLKWS6 on this board do heads and cam for 800.00 1 day turn around.

Haven't done a C5 yet but because of ease of access I would drop price somewhat

I wont argue that,as mentioned I haven't tried it, but bending over and reaching under the cowl is no picnic either

That shouldn't really make any difference. They both have to come off anyhow. Won't add but maybe 10-15 mins max.
