Default My TEA Stg. 2.5 LS6 Hand Finished Flow #'s

Thought I'd post these up; they're being installed as we speak by AZ Power and Sound here in Phoenix......60cc chambers. Flowed on a 3.9 bore of course, 2.055 intake/1.6 exhaust valves. Exhaust as always is flowed via a stack pipe. Will be mated to a G5X3 cam and a port matched intake. These heads flow in the low 290's through the LSX intake I have. These heads have the nitrous exhaust port as well.

Dyno #'s to come on Wednesday both N/A, on a 150 shot for street trim, and 200 shot for track trim . I'm sure TEA will do me proud!

Lift Intake Exhaust
.100 72.8 58.7
.200 140.3 120.9
.300 204.8 175.5
.400 256.0 228.5
.500 294.6 263.9
.550 311.6 273.0
.600 322.5 277.8
.700 336.6

Those are really good numbers. Just wondering, did you flow them before the hand porting was done? Trying to figure out what kind of increase it got you.

Deffinatlly a good flowing head. He's running this port on my AFR's as we speak. We'll see how it turns out after the hand finishing. I keep hoping the AFR's will let them get a little more out of the hand finishing, but I will be happy with the numbers you got. Looking foward to the track results!

Thanks!! I was going to do the AFR's myself, but the stock the exhaust ports are so big, that I wasn't comfortable with the possibility that the CNC may have not been able to completely clean up the AFRs.

If you start with the 170cc "as cast" versions, you shouldn't have to worry about that. Then again, I have full faith that if it didn't reach all the knooks that Brian could get it finished out while he's doing my nitrous port. Plus the AFR's save you from having to r&r seats and guides. I was going with the LS-6's, but the AFR's were going to be avalible pretty quick when I ordered, and they came out cheaper after you figure in the labor for guides and seats.

The newest heads listed above were not flowed through the intake, however they have the same exact intake port job as the TEA stg. 2.5 LS6 heads that are currently on the car, however, the newer heads flow from 2-4cfm better across the board on the intake side than the old heads did.

The heads that are currently on the car flowed the following: bare in column 1, through a stock ls6 intake in column 2, through a ported ls6 in column 3, and through a ported 78mm lsx in column 4. Currently, I have the ported 78mm LSX on my car.

Lift Head LS6 Ported LS6 Ported LSX
.100 69.7 66.1 67.5 68.1
.200 138.6 133.0 135.2 135.6
.300 201.2 190.4 193.1 194.6
.400 254.0 232.5 235.7 239.0
.500 291.7 261.5 265.4 268.3
.550 309.0 273.0 277.2 280.7
.600 318.7 282.0 288.2 290.3
.700 xxx.x 292.4 295.9 296.0

wow, for the money the ported ls6 intake looks like the best bet. Very close to the lsx intake. Thanks for the info! Congrats on your new setup. I cant wait to see the results.
