Don't want to beat up on this, but I don't want new guys to get wrong info. You won't see a 346 and 427 make the exact same power. Won't happen. *Maybe* close peak power with a full on 346 and mild 427, but the torque and powerband won't be close. Even from 5500-7000rpm.

You said you were going to run 427 cubes. Iron block? What stroke are you running?
I am going to go with 4.125 stroke and a 4.06 boar this is my first attemp with this setup any suggestions?
I know people say it's not a square setup oh well. This is going in a 1968 firebird the 427 is supose to make most of it's power near the high end right? This is perfect for drag racing right I mean why have a power band near 3500 rpm that's just going to light up the tires and when you shift your out of the power band right? Where is the power band in a 408 any dyno info on either setup's?
Oh yea I'm putting a magnacharger on it so head flow really isn't all that important except exhaust (well if the magnacharger can feed a 427 I haven't got intouch with them yet)
