Default At what point should you do ARP rod bolts?

I was wondering at what HP point should you upgrade the rod bolts?I will be in the 420-440hp range this spring and revving to 6800 rpm.
Soon I'll be installing a tubuler K member and think it would be a good time to change them if needed.

Thanks

Honestly, at the first chance I would be changing these.

If a rod lets go, you can kiss your engine goodbye.

I can't tell what HP levels they are guaranteed to crap out at. I have seen some nitrous cars run some pretty insane HP numbers on the stock rods FWIW. I couldn't tell you how long this went on for though.

I think 570 HP on the stock rod is the highest that I have seen. Again, this was on one of those engine number "x of x" applications.

Good Luck,
Kevin

I hit the stock rods with ~475 HP nitrous for a very long time. I never had a problem.

I've seen your driving My car has been stressed since day 1.At 1k miles I had a TNT kit runnung a 100 shot=460rwhp.12 bottles later car is still good. This year over 70 1/4 mile passes shifting at 6600 and still no problems with rods.
Just figure luck will run out some day

The other guys at the shop all but cringe everytime I pull up to the lights.

Anyhoo, I will be pulling the guts out of my motor today or tomorrow. I will try to give a good synopsis on here of what it looks like after being Road Raced, Drag Raced, Pilled and beat on daily. I'll be sure to give the rods a lookover as well as any potential bolt stretch or fatigue.
