you sure you arent confusing "average" with "accurate". the AFR's flow what they are advertised, nothing more, nothing less. the same cant always be said about other heads.

maybe i better put it this way before everone gets excited. I considered waiting for the AFRs when I did my motor...so far im glad I didnt...maybe im just not as easy of a sell as some people. I guess I was hoping for something better than a GOOD/Great stage 2 LS1 head. Always like to see someone other than the manufacturer sell a product with accurate info.

What I don't understand is why there are so few numbers, both flow and 1/4 mile, out there. You would think at this point sufficient sales and installs would haven taken place that we would be deluged with everyone reporting their results. It's just not happening. One installer posted a couple of weeks ago trying to establish basically a data base of info on these heads and that thread went no where. It seems like there has been a tremendous amount of interest, but no one wants to buy until there are hard numbers to justify the additional $.

What is the release date on the 225s? I will give it to them for not releasing them and having all sorts of problems with them. I guess I got lucky with my patriots

Just remember guys if a head flows decently better with a bigger volume port, it DOES NOT LOSE VELOCITY! IF YOU CAN UTILIZE MORE FLOW IN THE CURVE
THAN LARGER VOLUME PORT DOESN'T HAVE TO COMPROMISE DRIVEABILITY AND TORQUE. Air travelling above the speed of sound is very non-productive to making power, port sizing is a science worth getting right for your motor.

I have to admit I am liking the sound of the afr's more and more and they do seem to have the thicker deck which at the very least is an advantage. I have to admit though I am also skeptical of the small runner high cfm theory cause of what happened to me in the past with JPR. These AFR's do seem like a quality peice and if I was to switch heads again I think I would give them a shot just to see.

Hopefully we start getting alot more real world dyno comparisons soon so we can get a better general idea of whats happening here. One thing that is awesome is the heads are the cc that they say they are and have been proven to flow what they say they do so at the very least you ARE getting what you pay for which is sometimes hard to get in the car parts world.

Very true. I just want to see what kind of compression I can run with such small P/V Clearance. We'll see.
