Default Going with Futral cam! last minute decisions!

Well i've been planning on going with the Futral F11- 228/230 .575/.595.. i heard a lot of people pushing around 400 RWHP with them on cam only set ups with about the same mods i have.. I was wondering what kind of LSA would be the best for the set up? are there any differences in gains or is it just sound? I was also trying to give myself a ball park idea of how i would run.. i ran a 12.784 at 110 with a 2.052 60ft time.. What kind of times would i be looking at with the F11 cam pushing around 400RWHP and actually getting the car to hook and run 1.7-1.9 60 ft times? I might be getting Hals 12 ways with the set up.. are high 11's out of the picture? What kind of shift points will i be looking at with this cam? 6500RPMS? or lower?

New set up will consist of: Futral cam(possible F11), double roller timing chain, patriot dual valve springs package, chrome moly pushrods, and an LS6 oil pump

Should i be going for a bigger cam? like a F13? I would like to stay with futral though.. I know i should use the search.. but there isn't too much about the F11's so if anyone could help me and get some ideas or maybe a different cam to run for better ET's i would greatly appreciate it! Thanks

You getting some tuning? 112 LSA sould make for a pretty strong cam.

You want "bigger", just take 1 or 2 degrees out of the LSA. Try a 111 LSA with a 112 ICL or a 110 LSA with a 111 ICL.

I am actually thinking about the same cam. I have about the same mods as you. My best time in good weather was 12.4 but now in these summer days i run 12.7s. I cant decide if i want to go bigger or not. I talked to Alan a few weeks ago and he told me the F11 would go perfect with my setup although he said i would be better off with some 3.73s, he also said that i should go with a 114 LSA for good street manners in my A4. Well let me know how it turns out for you or which cam you decide to go wtih.

What did allan suggest for you? I would go with whatever he says, Allan is the man when it comes to cams. I told him about my setup, what my goals were and the next day he had a BAD solid roller speced out for me

Wait until Futurals new line of Cam's enter the market...

I just ordered one of their new line... 232/234 601/602 on a 112

My friend made 419 rwhp through a 12 bolt with 4.10's with their Ron Jeremy cam..

alright cool, sounds like i'll just have to call alan up and see what he recommends for me.. How much of a difference could 3.73 gears make compared to 3.42's? doesn't seem like the change would be that big of a difference.. Thanks for all the replys! i'll be calling allan on monday! Thanks

what do you mean get everything out of my set up? tell him every mod? or change my set up? Will the 3.73's really make that big of a difference over 3.42's? Thanks

It depends on what your STR is on that converter (needs to be high)... other then that yeah it is fine.

I am also looking at getting the FM 11 cam.... I may have to call Alan again to get some info on his new cams

Locked. Im going soon to redyno. These were the numbers after 6 pulls on the mustang and 5 on the dynojet. The mustang dyno calculations were about 425 unlocked. But i think the car was just way to hot. 17x11's on the back doesnt help either. Rims weight 60pounds with tires a piece. Times werent bad for 3650 race weight.

I like my F11 112+4 but it drives so well I almost wish I had gone with a F13.

Great cams.
