Trevor--is the cam going to be able to clear the AFR's w/o flycutting?

We are dyno-tuning a 2000 Z28 six-speed as I type this that baselined 339 RWHP through the duals. The first pull just netted a 69 RWHP gain with 408 RWHP! Jason is still tuning on it, so I'll post up the final numbers once we're done. I'll also be sure that Jason posts the overlay to show the before and after curves. It's pretty sick for just a cam swap!

Pull 2: After adding some fuel from being too lean on the first pull, the car is up to 418 RWHP for a 79 RWHP gain!

Pull 3: The third pull just netted 422 RWHP and 393 RWTQ for an 83 RWHP gain! Just wait until the customer installs AFR 205's in the next month or so!

Pull 4: Jason just uploaded the final tune in the car, and it put down 427.0 RWHP and 394.7 RWTQ! This is all through a true duals system.

Awesome #'s. How high are you guys spinning it? Can't wait to see the dyno sheet, will this cam work with PRC stage II unmilled heads??

The cam initially peaked at 6,350 RPM and carried power out to 6,700 RPM. If you are running cylinder heads with larger valves and/or that have been shaved any, then you will need to fly-cut your pistons. The only exception would be the AFR's. With them having some positive deck surface, you will gain another .015" of p-to-v clearance. The customer that put down 427 RWHP will be coming back next month for a set of AFR's, but we will be shaving the heads and cutting valve reliefs.

Jason or I will post the graph later this morning in a new thread.

I have this good buddy i go fishing with. When you pull off something crazy, just like you couldnt do it again if you had to, he looks at you and says "Man you are THE ONE!" That fukn cam is THE ONE. Bad *** guys. Seems yall really struck a happy median with that one. I look at that dyno graph and i hear the fukn angels singing on-high. I think I know what Santa's gonna be leaving under the tree for me.

The really great thing about the cam is it's on a 113 lobe seperation! It makes good power across the board & offers a idle that allows you to drive the car daily!!
