Please tell me you thoughts on this set up I am thinking of going with for my 99 camaro m6.
5.3l stage 2 heads
TSP 224/224 .566/.566 114 or 112lsa
TSP 224/224 .581/.581 114 or 112lsa
Kooks Lt's
Off road Y
Corsa
s3, Ftra
ls6 intake
tuning
Would this be a good combo? Or is there a better cam that would accmodate my set up. I am not wanting something that lopes hard but I do want a little lope.I have noticed a lot of people using the tr224 is there any difference between tr's cam and tsp's cam? Must be streetable as I do like to take the car on road trips. Also what can I expect in the way of rwhp?

This setup looks pretty solid. The cams are both Comp Cams, the first being an XE lobe and the second being an XER lobe. I really like the profile of the XER lobes better. They are a little more agressive and have less overlap. They are extremely streetable and long road trips will not be a problem.

When all is said and done, you should have awesome power, awesome drivability, great sould and a little lope! What more could you ask for.

i too would go with the XER grind, Kurtomac her on the board made around 400hp with those mods sans the heads with an MTI C2(224/224 .581/.581 112).

What lsa should I get? Also Todd you said Kurtomac made 400hp is that w/ out heads? If so would it be safe to say that I could be looking at 420hp +/-?
Also what is the difference in xe and xer lobes? Sorry I am a little dumb when it comes to cams.

What about the TSP 225?

What about the TSP 225?
Do a 112 LSA with 2 degrees of advance. This will be a good street driver.
The diff in the XE and XER lobes is more or less the ramp rate of the lobe with the XER being more agressive. This leads to less overlap and a better idle while power should increase as well up top.

I don't know anything about the TSP cam. I have seen some good results from some of their cams though. I don't think you will go wrong with either selection.

Personally I would go with a XE-R 224/224, .581/.581 112+0 (straight up),or 112 ICL if you like.

Any chance someone would have a sound clip of the 224 .581 on a 112 lsa.

PREDATOR-Z Why would you go with a 112 w/ no advance?

Basically, doing this with no advance will shift the power curve over to the right a little. Your peak power will happen a little higher in the RPM curve.

Yeap, kinda like a cross between 112 and 114, still benefit from the low end trq and can carry the power on a flat line for a little longer.

Would I have to worry about changing the springs every so often with the xer lobes? Also if I go with the 112 lsa will I run in to any driveability problems surging, a/c problems dieing at red lights?
