Default What goes here? *PIC*

The blue holes are where the oil pump go... but what goes into the red holes? Long bolts from the cover or something? Just want to make sure I didn't miss anything. I'm looking at the illistrations but can't see anything I might have missed. TIA.

GM has a timing chain dampner that installs there. It was not a factory piece though.

Looks like everything is right. Time to button it up and go driving!

PS, Just to make sure, I always spin the engine over one time to make sure the dots line up again. Just good measure.

Thanks,

Maybe it's the pic angle but the dots don't look lined up to me.

No they look fine to me. If you spin the crank just a degree or two, the dots will line up right down the centerline perfectly. If you were off a tooth, the dots could still line up, but it wouldnt be right over the centerline of the cam and crank.

I think its the angle and its shifted a bit, if you rotate it they look like they'd line up perfect. Surely he checked... surely

It's the angle... I checked it, spun it all the way around and checked again. Everything lined up right.

Just my .02, dont tighten the oil pump down until you have the o-ring and tube bolted on there. That makes it a little easier to do and helps reduce the chance of damage to the o-ring.

Oh yea, and dont forget the spacers!
