For nitrous, you definitly want to bring the top ring down as far as you can. The shorter rod will allow you to do this. If you can, I would go with the shorter rod.

Good luck,
A prime example for this would be to look at Sam Vincent's Mustang. He's one of the only people running SSO with a nitrous setup. What is his compression? High. Any fast nitrous car has lots of compression.

I agree, look at IHRA Pro Mods, I bet the guys that run nitrous have lots of compression. KingCrapBox do you like nitrous as a power adder?

You are going to have to find out what the Compression Height is on those BME pistons.

Piston compression height is 01.075 with a 6.125 rod. Not sure if I'm going to even use the BME's.

Hmm, awfull comp height. You could possibly use them with a 6.100 rod and 4.100 stroke and it'll be 10 thou out of the hole. I am not sure if the piston will clear the crank weights without any 'major' massaging. I happen to have a 4.100 stroke crank right now I'm not using...

The torque nitrous provides is fun but there's nothing like a big turbo making big boost.
