However, in J-rod's defense, the "warning" seemed to be looking out for "potential" issues that this engine may have with the bigger intake valve. I could be wrong, and he'll correct me, but the 205 is one trouble free installation so it' was a great recommendation....
On my personal '04 GTO, both Tony and Rick wanted me to start off with the 205 heads just because of the stock block and street type application. When I told them I was going to go a bit an extreme later on, "then" the 225 heads were decided on as the better choice. I'll probably still go the 205 at first, for a baseline but once things get rolling, the bigger 245... err... umm... 225's will find their way on...
Bottom line... even the "engineer" at AFR suggests the 205 heads for most stock block applications...

There really isn't a "best" cam to recommend. It all depends on what you want to use the car for. Do you want a stock idle or a nasty lope? Generally for nitrous of fi you would use a cam with an 8-10 degree split towards the exhaust side. ex 224 intake 232 exhaust on a 114 lsa.
