Default header-cam package

I was wondering about this header-cam package is if it is legall for one and if i do get it on a WS6 2002..will i need to get anything else for this to be able to run on it. IT says somthing about pushrods or will a 2002 ws6 be ok with just this. Also it say somthing about ls6 cylinder head conversion. Wondering if i would need that or anything else i would need or will it run fine w/o anything ...here is link...PS i would like it to be ok for daily driving but also be good w/ speed and acceleration for numbers!! thank you

Being legal and being able to pass an imspection are two totally different things. It depends on what state you live in.

You will be fine with about any combo.
You will need a cam, push rods, and valve springs. There are a lot of good headers out there. Pacesetter has the least expensive. They use to have fitment issues but I think they are better now. Thunder Racing or Texas Speed and Performance will be able to hook you up with a cam and all of the goodies. Look to the right side of the screen and pick a sponser. Most of them will be able to help you. Good luck.

You should put hardened push-rods in anyway (~$100), and you don't have to do the LS6 conversion whatever because you've got an '02.

It sounds like good power to me, but (from experience) SLP is a bit on the pricey side. I'm sure if you called Racetech or Futral or one of the other sponsors over here ---> you can find a better deal. H/C is a big investment, shop around a bit.

And I'm with 98 LS1 SS on the legality thing...

The only thing with some houston parts, they do the sniffer test. Only some countys do it. I did live in houston, but lubbock does not have any part of the sniffer test. Just go to the local exhaust inspection and ask what type of test they run.

I was looking at different heads and i saw this one

http://www.texas-speed.com/item_deta...ProductID=1257

I was wondering if those would be some good heads to go alone w/ a ws6 w/ borla exhaust and if it is what type of cam would be good with those heads ..or if ne1 knows of any good heads/cam sets that would be good please let me know thanks and i live in worst county in houston...HARRIS

Was looking at these pushrods for them

http://www.texas-speed.com/item_deta...?ProductID=309
or
http://www.texas-speed.com/item_deta...?ProductID=308
not sure which one would work

and for cams i found this cam online and wondering if it would work w/ the heads and pushrods that r above and if it would be a good combo

http://www.slponline.com/view_product.asp?P=51014
or
TSP Custom 224 Cam: 224/224, .566"/.566", 114 LSA

the heads say they come w/ dual valve springs so wouldnt need new ones so would have heads/pushrods/cam/valve springs so just wondering if these woudl be good together...and would i need to get nething else to make this happen if its good

Give the guys at Texas Speed a call. They are good guys and will help you figure out what is best for you. I would recommend getting all of the parts from one place you are much more likely to get a deal. Good luck!

Being a newbie and all, you're going to be better off calling up a shop and getting it all at once instead of trying to peice something together. You'll know it all works together, and you'll probably get a better deal anyhow. Just make sure you do plenty of research before you go swapping cams, so you know what you're getting yourself into. jrp has a great cam guide out, i suggest you read it.
