dude you need to sit down and figure out what you want your car to do. what are your goals? street, strip, is it your daily driver....what? you need to develop some sort of plan. also, READ. read all of JRP's guides. if you can sit down and read all of those guides, and all of his stickies, THOROUGHLY, and can still say you have no idea what to do.....you've got some problems. jrp has put a lot of work into those, and should steer you in the right direction. you need to be a little more coherent when you ask these questions, a bit more collected. people aren't going to sit down and spend all this time coming up with different ways to mod your car...they're busy enough working on theirs!! and for the few that might, you've not provided enough info. think this out a little bit, read all those guides and come back and re-post and people will be better able to answer your questions.
i will say one thing. hands down, a stall convertor is the best mod you can do for an a4. period.

Yeap, stall first, I assume you have 3:42's so that should be fine for now.
I recommend VIG 3200, or TCI 3500, both a very streetable (I had TCI, now switched to VIG), VIG is a bit looser but bites harder than TCI.

P-Z, I always thought WS6's came with 3.23's. I owned a '98 Formula WS6 and I swore thats what she had. Could be wrong? Of course mine was an A4. My regular T/A is an M6 now and has 3.42's.

226/236 .525/.525 110 LSA
If this is the ASA hot cam you are talking about and they sniff test, NO you'll not pass emmissions.
This cam has a positive degree of overlap at .050 of +11
Check MTI Stealth II it has a minus -10 degree of overlap at .050 and will pass with flying colors. A TR224/ 114lsa will pass if properly tuned.
