Default Comp 918's or Rev dual springs?

Would you suggest comp 918's for a cam with .568 lift or the Rev dual springs? I think the Rev's are overkill and will add more noise. The 918's should be fine IMHO.

Any ideas?

I highly doubt that REVs would increase noise. IMO, the Comp 918s would work just fine.

My REV duals are not any noiser than stock springs. An overkill? When is extra insurance ever an overkill?

Get the rev's. Cheap insurance for your engine. It is not a big price difference.

If anything the revs would seem like they would be quieter because of the moe spring preasure to hold everything tighter <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" />

Well, I guess I was wrong about the noise. I swear I read that somewhere. Anyway, since the valve seals need to be replaced does that increase the chance of burning oil after the install? Also how much extra time does it take to install them? I already have the 918's. Should I go through the trouble of getting the Rev's?

My vote with go with the Comp 918s. That's what we use for all of our "cam only" swaps here.

918s only had a issue with a bad batch. The new ones have been ok so far I believe.

they offer all the spring pressure you really need for most Hyd cams <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

I'm running .599" lift and went with the 918s over the Rev duals.

Wow Quick! Really pushing the 918's to the limit. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Cool]" src="gr_images/icons/cool.gif" />

i AGREE with i8cobra, if a spring happens to fail i would feel much better with that second spring which would most likely prevent you from dropping a valve and causing thousands of dollars in time, damage and heartache.

I also have the Rev 1116 springs, I am running a cam with 567 lift. The Rev springs are no noiser than stock on my car. As the other guys said having the second spring to hold the valve up in case of a spring failure can save you thousands of dollars in damage to your engine.
