Has this head been produced? Tested? What's the story? Date projected to be ready for sale? I'd be interested in this one. The 245.

I just spoke to Dez this morning. I have one set of 205's not spoken for. Call me in the afternoon if your customer needs them right away.

Nothing for public sale yet. I was told there are more "versions" of this LS casting coming out as soon as AFR has time to develop and refine them. The 245 is obviously designed for "big inch" engine crowd so it has a small audience and limited marketability.

When I found out about the "biggies" and asked Tony for a set for the GTO project.

All he told me it'll be a while before release of production pieces. Guess I got greedy...

Well as I said, we aren't talking about pure race engines. If we can look at a dyno graph and see what the graph of each head looks like, we can decide which one is better for our application.

I don't know of many results of Ed Curtis with an LSX based motor, I'll have mine eventually, one day, maybe, and it should blow many many doors off...

However I don't get why his expierence in this certain motor matters? A motor is an air-pump like every other motor. It doesn't matter if its Briggs & Stratton, Ford, Chevy, Honda, air moves in, air moves out, combustion process is the same etc... Understanding how to design things properly and using airflow is the same.

The only thing I am positive of is all the cars that I've seen run with Flowtech camshafts blow the doors off the guy with Joe blow's camshaft. I also do know there will be an 8 second LT1 car out next year with an FTI camshaft.

Tony, What would you recomend for a strong all stroke 382 LS1 engine, probably stepping up to a large hyd. roller, auto, 4000 stall, 3.42 gears, full weight, 200 shot of nitrous...the 205 or 225 heads? What cc for about 11-1 compression? When will the 225 be released? Thanks

I finally installed some AFR 205's last week and they were very high quality.They worked very good for the Cam only Cam too.Putting in an order for some 225's soon,have a few stroker motors that need some good heads.

The only thing that I do not like about the 225s is they require a 4.130 gasket. Good or bad, I dont know how that is going to work with a 3.898 or 3.905 bore.
