Where does your tq curve peak. Mine peaks at 5400. I doubted this tune from the day i picked up the car. My peak numbers seem in line but it just seems like the tq curve is too high (if it is even my car that the graph is from ). If this cam was not degreed correctly what would the symtoms be. Im bringing it to another tuner to fix all of the other shops mistakes. I even doubt that it is a 224 in there. Its is ashame we can not tell of our bad experiances with sponsors without getting the thread closed or getting yourself banned. Im sure that this has happen to others that have gone there and if it was reported, i would not have gone and saved alot of money!

If the 224 is in there and that tune is correct it looks like the cam is 4 degrees retarded.

How much of a big deal is it to redegree the cam.

If it is out(cam timing) and the crank gear is a 3 keyway type all you have to do is advance it there, every one of the keyways represent 4 degrees of advancement or retard. I like a 109 ICL as long as there is proper p/v clearance.

From talking to the shop that i bought the cam from they said that there is no advance ground into the cam...hense my high peak. So i was thinking, what if i advance the cam gear. I paid for an adjustable rollmaster so hopefully i got that and that should make it easier. We will just have to see what the new tuner says.

Degree the cam in on a 109 if your p/v clearance can handle it and enjoy the new found torque .

Take the head off and put modeling clay on the piston and reassemble and turn the engine over 2 revolutions and then check the the thickness of the imprint the valve left in the clay. You want atleast .080"

My SRP 224 XE-R .581 lift cam on a 113 LSA w/2 degrees advance peaks at 4,800 rpm with the T/A's set up. Usually the peak for torque will be around ~4,800 rpm with the LS6 intake.

What LSA is the cam 112, 114 or something else?

Ok i just talked to the shop that installed my cam. They say i dont have a 224. Now he is telling me that it is a 224/228 .581/.588 113 lsa. Which means that my numbers suck and that know i dont know what the hell i got! I was told that this cam should make alot more than what this came up with. Well we will just see what the new tuner thinks. I hope i dont have to pull the cam.

I have the 224/.581/112 Comp Cam and it's installed straight up with zero advance ground in. I make 367 peak torque from about 4800 to 5100 rpm.

I WOULD KEEP THE 224/228. Better cam than the 224/224 IMO.
Get it tuned right and get a dry NOS 5177 kit, that cam will love that.

Also let me point out that with a 2000 at 383rwhp, you are close to maxing out your injectors. I would get 30 SVO's and a Racetronic PnP fuel pump system (62 psi fuel pressure). Or at least 28.8 (01/02) injectors and retune.
