Default Finished up 224 cam install.

Well finished up last night about 5. She fired right up and then fell flat on her face. Finally after a lil tinkering we got it to hold an idle. she is sitting right around 700rpms at idle and man does this thing sound good. I am using the stock catback to keep it somewhat quiet and make the gf happy, but a cutout is going in. Just wanted to say if you are thinking about doing a cam swap but don't know if you have the mechanical ability just follow the JMX write up. It breaks everything down and is very easy to follow.

BTW I am really enjoying my SES light freaking out since I pulled the egr junk.

Thanks to buckeyeroc for letting me borrow the ghettotech springtool along with pen mags, longer pulley bolt and his sawzall.

Well after heat cycling the springs yesterday I went out to the dragstrip today. Stock tune, stock muffler(no cat back waiting to put true duals on and dragstrip today was a spur of the moment thing so I just tossed it on), and stock rev limiter it trapped 110mph.

Congrats! I remember how happy I was after I installed mine. After adding some heads you will really start to smile! The TR224 112LSA has a great flat curve and makes very nice lowend to boot. My graph shows 300rwtq @ 2200rpms, 325rwtq @ 2500rpms, 351rwtq @ 3000rpms with a peak of 391rwtq @ 4900rpms.
